A purse workshop

On Saturday I took some time for myself and attended a kiss clasp purse making workshop at a gorgeous little shop in Bendigo called View Point Gallery. (http://www.viewpointgallery.com.au/)  If you are ever in Bendigo please drop in and look at the beautiful handmade items they stock there. It's part gallery, part shop, and 100% awesome.

I had lots of fun and made a gorgeous purse with some of my vintage fabric.

As it turned out I was the only one in the workshop, so I had my own private tutor. It was a lovely couple of hours spent sewing, chatting, learning and drinking cups of tea. Here's a little sample of what I got up to.

Ta dah! Cute isn't it! I'll be making some more very soon. Could be a lovely mother's day present.

  1. Lovely purse. What a treat that you were the only student but in some ways this is sad too. It is such a small community of upcyclers and refashioners. Maybe the option of buying something mass produced is just easier. Anyway Sharon, I can see that you have made this with much love and care. It looks great.

    1. Yes, although a lovely day for me, it is sad for them to organise something and have so little interest. I did make it with much love, sewing slowly slowly. Thanks Mezzy.
